The application of appropriate technologies is key for the plant to remain healthier and obtain higher yields in these situations.

From hot days and drought, which cause serious situations of water stress, to cold waves and torrential rains. The temperature variations that occur with the transition from summer to autumn and winter, and that are increasingly abrupt due to climate change, are some of the most frequent causes of stress that occur in crops. They constitute one of the problems more serious for farmers, who see how their crops decrease and even have to face situations of total loss of them.

The strong heat, lack of precipitation and high temperatures that occur in Spain cause situations of water stress or dehydration in plants. This summer has been especially evident in the central, southern and eastern areas of the national territory, where it has affected olive, irrigated almond, citrus, fruit and berry crops, with a special impact on the provinces of Huelva and Seville, where there is a threat of irrigation restrictions.


But the arrival of cold waves and torrential rains also cause frost or flooding that affects these crops. Therefore, it is essential to moderate the response of plants to these types of environmental stress situations, so that they remain healthy and can obtain a higher yield than expected under these types of extreme weather conditions. Thus, the use of appropriate technology that combats this abiotic stress, with the joint combination of nutrients, helps to improve plant growth even with these temperature changes. To combat this type of situation and help the plant improve its growth and performance, Ecoculture recommends the use of specific technologies that combat this plant stress, such as XStress, a product suitable for organic farming that contains a mixture of micronutrients with a new formulation system, which penetrates the stomata of the leaves easily and effortlessly, reinforces the cell walls and strengthens the natural processes generated to neutralize oxidative toxins, improving crop growth in adverse situations and the useful life of the fruit.
